In Glasgow in 1823 Mr Charles Macintosh invented a waterproof fabric, smart enough to wear in the city. His invention achieved such popularity that today Mr Mackintosh's surname is often used as a generic term for any raincoat, although those by the Mackintosh label are the true originals.
Since 1823 Mackintosh has been the best, today they continue that tradition. |
